The honest version of our sales pitch is: talk to us.

A lot of businesses make it hard to ask. You fill in a form, you wait, you get quoted a number with no room in it, and if the number doesn’t work for you then that’s the end of the conversation. We don’t want to run like that.

Tell us what’s actually going on

If your car isn’t safe to drive and payday is two weeks away — tell us that. If the section’s gone feral because you’ve been unwell — tell us that. If your kid is falling behind and the tutoring rates you’ve seen are impossible — tell us that too.

We’d rather know the real situation, because then we can build something around it: a payment that’s spread out, a smaller scope to start with, a membership instead of a big one-off, a swap where you help us on the job and the price comes down. There’s usually a version that works.

We’re genuinely okay doing things at cost

We say this a lot and people assume it’s a figure of speech. It isn’t. We run plenty of jobs at cost, and some at a loss, and that’s a deliberate part of how this works — the point of Kaha Tahi isn’t to extract as much as possible from each job. It’s to be a useful, permanent thing in this community: the people you can call, who’ll turn up, who’ll be straight with you about what’s needed and what isn’t.

A job done at cost still builds that. It still means a car that’s safe, a house that’s looked after, a kid who’s keeping up. That’s the return we’re after.

How to reach us

Easiest is the contact form or a text. You can also just call:

No obligation, and no hard sell if it’s not the right time. We’ll tell you what we think, and you can go away and think about it.
